I Corvi

Translating to The Ravens, I Corvi were a 60s Italian beat/psych group. Listen to “Un Ragazzo Di Strada (Street Kid)” which is about a guy who is street kid, who rejected a girl because she belonged to a higher social class. The lyrics were atypical for the time because it overturned the stereotype that the courted girl is most likely to reject her suitor. Instrumentally the song was borrowed from The Brogues’ “I Ain’t No Miracle Worker” which was featured in the Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the First Psychedelic Era, 1965-1968 compilation.
